Groomsmen and cars
My partner has picked his best man. He is also going to have 5 grooms men (more than my bridesmaids!).
We have decided that he is going to hire his suit as he has little occasion to wear one being a nurse as well. We have found that many places do a deal where if there is a certain amount of groomsmen the groom's suit is free too hire - phew for that!
We have been able to do a lot of online research and found some that we both like. I will be dragging him into town sometime soon to try them on. We have chosen a more traditional suit and definitely no tails. He will be wearing a waistcoat and either a bow tie or a cravat depending on which goes best. The suits will match the navy blue of the bridesmaids subtly. We have found waistcoats that are tartan in navy blue which look lovely! Let's hope all of the guys like the same suit! We have decided against a wedding car. Our entire day is at one location so it seemed like a rather large waste of money. I can see the appeal and don't get me wrong I love the wedding photos of brides getting out of elegant cars but it's just not something we can incorporate into our budget. Plus there's more important things to spend money on such as shoes.....see next week for more info.
