Get your claws on all the nail advice straight from J'adore nail parlour.

We spoke to Julien Lefevre at J'adore nails in Sunderland about all the latest nail trends for brides.

Julien, 49, offers a free consultation for brides looking to get their nails done for their big day.

J'adore nails adapts to meet the needs of each individual bride. Julien said: "If a customer has a particular budget we would determine the cost of doing the nails and point out what she can have for what she can afford. We often give 10-20% off for every £100 spent (great for bridal parties/hen do's) and customers [go] away with freebies."

Julien recommends having your nails done as close to the day as possible to avoid damage.

He said: "The natural nail generally grows quite rapidly. We advise customers to come and have their nails done as the last part of wedding preparation to avoid any damage."

We couldn't resist getting a manicure ourselves - check out that sparkle!

Julien told us about the current nail trends. "The baby boomer nails [are] very trendy at the moment (pictured below). It is a type of French manicure that fades."

"This design is also used to match your dress or accessories. The nails can be enhanced by adding a couple of swarvoski rhinestones."

Julien continued: "Some like it to stand out from the rest so we embellish the nails and achieve ever more 'bling bling."
